Interests that connect well with a Fashion Business degree

Students who enjoy this degree often share these interests. You don't need to feel strongly about all of them, and interests develop over time. If one or two catch your curiosity, or sound like something you'd like to know more about, that's a good sign.

Fashion, Style & Textiles: The whole degree is built around the fashion industry. You'll explore how trends develop, how brands build identity, how consumers respond, and how fashion connects to wider cultural shifts in what people wear and why it matters to them.

Money, Markets & How Economies Work: You'll study how fashion brands actually make money, exploring buying, merchandising, retail strategy, supply chains, and consumer markets. The degree treats fashion as a global commercial industry where understanding the numbers is as important as understanding the trends.

Brands, Media & Influence: Fashion marketing, branding, PR, advertising, and influencer strategy run through the degree. You'll explore how fashion brands capture attention and shape what people want, and you'll build campaigns that test these ideas in practice.

The Environment & Sustainability: Sustainability is embedded across every UK Fashion Business programme. You'll examine the industry's environmental and social impact and study how brands are responding through ethical sourcing, slow fashion, circular business models, and sustainable retail strategies.
